Paediatric Neurologist

Paediatric neurologist Simone Ardern-Holmes is a graduate of the Harvard University child neurology program, and has practiced clinically in Australia, New Zealand and the USA. She has deep experience in treating children with conditions such as epilepsy and seizures, headaches, migraine, movement and developmental disorders, genetic neurological conditions, nervous system tumours, and many others. She was awarded a PhD by the University of Sydney for her work on neurofibromatosis in children.

Simone is a senior paediatric neurologist in the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney. Simone convenes epilepsy training for paediatric specialists in Australia, delivering the British Paediatric Neurology Association’s Paediatric Epilepsy Training program. She also serves on the BPNA faculty and has recently visited the UK at their request to support review of the PET program.

Simone is passionate about working with children and families to live their best lives. She believes in the great outcomes that result when kids, parents and medical professionals form a strong mutually respectful team.

Simone is mother of two boys, loves to dance and potter in the garden, and to spoil her schnoodle Mac.
