Dr Lucy Hastings is a Paediatric Endocrinologist who graduated on a full scholarship from The University of Sydney Medical program with Honours in 2010. Lucy completed her specialist training in Paediatric Endocrinology at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and Westmead Children’s Hospital. She also worked as the Senior Clinical Fellow at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, one of the largest specialised paediatric endocrine centres in the United Kingdom.
Lucy has a Visiting Medical Officer appointment at Royal North Shore Hospital and has provided consultant locum services at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. She was awarded a Masters in Paediatric Medicine from The Univeristy of Sydney in 2016 and is undertaking research in Polyuria Polydipsia Syndrome in children. Lucy is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the ANZ Society of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes.
Lucy has had broad training and experience in the management of a wide range of endocrine disorders and enjoys collaborating with patients and their families to provide evidence-based comprehensive care, including:
- Thyroid disorders
- Growth problems
- Disorders of puberty
- Calcium and bone health
- Pituitary dysfunction
- Adrenal disorders
- Insulin resistance in obesity
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Lucy is not taking referrals for Type 1 diabetes at this time.
Lucy tailors her practice to the needs of each individual patient, embracing a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach.
As a mother of three young children, Lucy loves spending time with her family, camping and traveling.
